    Note: You must assemble the receipt printer using the manufacturer's instructions before starting the installation. Complete the following steps to install the Star TSP100 receipt printer. Step 1 - Basic Installation & Configuration The first step is to install and configure the receipt printer to work with Millennium.

    Step 1 - Basic Installation & Configuration Step 1 - Basic Installation & Configuration 1.1 - Change Windows Settings The first step is to change settings in Windows. Note: If you are installing the receipt printer on a Mac, you need to complete this step in the Windows operating system.

Connect the receipt printer to an AC outlet and press the Power switch on the side of the receipt printer, and then connect the receipt printer to a USB port on the computer. Important: You must connect the receipt printer to a USB port on the computer and not to a USB hub connected to the computer.

In the Serial Port Emulator Service, click Start. 11. In the Virtual Serial Port Name section, select COM4 and click Check Health. The Check Health message displays and a test receipt prints.

    Step 1 - Basic Installation & Configuration 1.4 - Configure Millennium The next step is to configure the receipt printer settings in Millennium. Note: You must complete this step in Millennium on the computer where you installed the receipt printer software. 1.

    Right-click on the Star TSP printer, and select Printer Properties b) Select the TSP100 Config tab, and click Launch Configuration Application. Select Star Line Mode (default). The Star TSP100 Configuration Application window displays. 8. In the left sidebar, select Images List. The Image List window displays.

Here you can use the Width slider to adjust the size of your receipt image. You can set a name for the file here if you wish (if you do not, the image name will default to “Image1”).

In the appropriate section click Add, then select the name of the image you imported. Select whether you would like the logo on the left or right side of the receipt or centered.

    Step 2 - Advanced Configuration 2.2 - Connect a Cash Drawer If you have a non-intelligent cash drawer, the next step is to connect the cash drawer to the receipt printer so that the drawer works with Millennium. Note: You must complete this step in Millennium on the computer where you have the receipt printer connected.

Note: You must complete this step on the computer where you have the receipt printer connected. This step is not required if you are not in a Remote Desktop environment.
