    Getting to Know Your Device Connection Scenarios The device can access the Internet by using a SIM card and it allows multiple clients to surf on the Internet at the same time. The following figures are for your reference only. NOTE: With other accessories, such as mobile power or car power adapter, you can supply power to your device and use it anywhere and anytime.

    Installing Your Device Open the front cover. Install a SIM card to the SIM card slot. WARNING! Your device does not support the micro-SIM and nano-SIM card or any other non-standard SIM cards. To avoid damage to the device, do not use those cards or any card holders.

    Connecting to Your Device Using USB Connecter Insert the device into your computer’s USB port securely. The operating system automatically detects and identifies your modem and starts the installation wizard. NOTE: If the system does not automatically launch installation, you can click the device in- stallation icon in My Computer to install the software.

Ensure that your computer or other client devices have enabled Wi-Fi, and search for avail- able wireless networks.   • Page 10 Logging in to the IDEA Smart Wi-Fi Configuration Page Ensure that the connection between your device and the client device is correct. Launch the Internet browser and enter http://192.168.0.1 or http://idea.smartwifi in the ad- dress bar. NOTE: It is recommended that you use IE (7.0 or later), Firefox (15.0 or later), Opera (10.0 or later), Sa- fari (4.0 or later), or Google Chrome (10.0 or later).

    Accessing the Internet After a client device is successfully connected to your device, you can access the Internet in Au- tomatic or Manual mode. The default mode is Automatic. Mode Operation Your device is automatically connected to the Internet, and you can surf on the Automatic Internet through the client.

    Managing Your Device Changing the Device Password Select Settings > Device Settings > Account Management. Enter the current password you use. Enter the new password you want to use. Enter the new password again. Click Apply to save your changes.

Blocking Users on Wi-Fi Select Settings > Wi-Fi Settings > Black List. Check Enable and then click Apply to enable this function.

Right-click Network and select Properties. Select Change adapter settings. Right-click Wireless Network Connection and select Properties.
