arrow button, confirm and proceed to the next digit with
the left arrow button. Continue until all the digits have
been entered.
When the wheel circumference has been entered, go to
the next menu by pressing the left arrow button.
How do I find out the circumference of the wheel?
Use the table on the right to find the correct value
for the circumference of the wheel. If for example
the wheel is 26" (650A), the value you should enter
is 2073.
Use the formula C = 3.14 × diameter to calculate
the circumference of the wheel.
One method of measuring the circumference:
Make a mark on the tyre and on the ground
where the tyre makes contact.Roll the cycle/
wheel forwards until the mark on the tyre is
once again at the contact point with the ground.
The wheel has now travelled through one revolution.
Mark the second point on the ground and measure
the distance between the two marks to get
the circumference of the wheel.
