Troubleshooting

Problem
When using the Music Jukebox
function, switching off the TV
also switches off the DVD
Recorder and amplifier.
Error message 'Cannot copy.
This is a non recordable
disc' appears when trying to
copy from a CD to the Hard
Disk
When dividing a title on the
hard disk , the second title
does not appear in the
Navigator
I cannot access the USB
Copy/Play Menu after exiting
the menu
I cannot access the - PLAY
DIVX, PLAY JPEG, PLAY MP3
menu from CD once I have
played a media file.
There is no clock time
displayed on the DVD
Recorder when the unit is in
standby
Possible Cause
If the TV, DVD Recorder and Home
Cinema system or Surround
amplifier are connected via HDMI
cables, the audio signal passes
through the Television. Switching off
the TV will cut off the audio signal
and send the auto power off
command to the other units via the
HDMI cables.
It is not possible to use the simple
copy function to copy CDs to the
hard disk. This function is intended
to copy a programme from the hard
disk drive to a DVD disk only.
When a title is divided, a new folder
is created in the navigator menu
with the same name as the original
title. A series symbol appears on the
icon with the number of titles
displayed next to the symbol.
The USB Copy/Play menu only
appears when you insert a USB
memory stick etc into the USB
socket on the front of the machine.
When a CD contains multiple media
file types the Play Media Selection
screen automatically appears after
inserting the CD.
The "Power Save" function has
been set. When in power save
mode the display is completely
turned off unless a timer recording
has been set

Remedy
Music Jukebox Playback without the TV
switched on when connected with HDMI
cables is not possible.
With the DVD drive selected, press
Functions Others Copy Music CD.
Select the folder and press OK. The
folder opens and the original title and
the new (divided) title appear as
separate icons. All of the usual options
are available from within the folder
(delete, edit rename etc.)
The USB Copy/Play menu will
automatically appear when a USB
memory device is plugged in to the front
of the machine. If you exit the menu,
press Functions To Others
Device. The Top USB menu will be
displayed.
To change play another media type from
the same CD, Stop the disk and exit the
menu. With the DVD drive selected
press Functions Playback. The
PLAY DIVX, PLAY JPEG, PLAY MP3
menu appears.
Switch off the Power Save" function
from the set-up Menu (Page11).
