TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Capacity: 3kg Division: 1g or 0.1oz Auto Switch off after30 sec Overload indicator Low battery indicator Hold function Tare function Power supply: 1 CR2032 3V lithium battery INSTRUCTIONS Battery replacement If your scale shows the low battery indicator, or performs slowly or inaccurately, please replace the battery. Battery Operation: 1) One CR2032 3V lithium battery required. 2) To install battery. a) Release the battery cover. b) Install battery into battery compartment correctly. Replace battery cover. DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE & DON’T PRESS ON THE TRAY In case you do not use the scale for a long time, please remove the battery. Starting Place the scale on a hard, flat surface. To switch on the scale, press ON/OFF. Power Up Segment Test When first turning the unit on, the display will show “888.8.8”.This display will remain for approximately 3 seconds and then reset to 0. CALIBRATION Your scale was calibrated at the factory. It should never require service or to be calibrated again. Please do not calibrate your scale unless directed by Tech Support. HOLD To use the “HOLD” function 1. Turn the scale ON 2. Place your mail piece (or other items) on the scale 3. Press the “HOLD” key. 4. The scale will capture the weight. 5. The scale holds the reading for 5 seconds, you can read the value after removing the item from the scale’s platform. To Clear the HOLD value, simply press HOLD again. TARE /ADD WEIGH Press tare to reset the scale to zero. Tare can be used for eliminating the weight of a container. Turn the scale on, place an empty container on the scale and press TARE. The display will reset to “0.0”. Place the items to be weighed in the container and the correct weight of the items will appear on the display. MAINTENANCE AND CARE Avoid lengthy exposure to extreme heat or cold, your scale works best when it operates and is stored at normal room temperature. Allow sufficient warm up time. Turn the scale on wait few seconds to give the internal components a chance to stabilize before weighing. The clearer the environment is the better. Dust, dirt, moisture, vibration, air currents and proximity to other electronic equipment can all cause an adverse effect on the reliability and accuracy of your scale. Handle with care, gently apply all items to be weighed onto tray top. Although this scale is designed to be quite durable, try to avoid rough treatment as this may permanently damage the internal sensor and void your warranty. Avoid shaking, dropping or otherwise shocking the scale. This is a precision instrument and MUST BE HANDLED WITH EXTREME CARE. Only operate the scale on a stable, vibration free surface.
