    GETTING STARTED The ALERT J5 is a professional series breath alcohol tester (BAT) that is accurate and easy to use. It measures breath alcohol concentration (BrAC), which is directly proportional to blood alcohol concentration (BAC). This section familiarizes you with the basic features, such as the menus, buttons, and batteries of the device.

    Buttons and Menus The ALERT J5 has an interface similar to a cellular phone, which allows you to navigate all menus using the two buttons. Either button powers on the device.
