IMPORTANT:
1) Do not operate this appliance near explosives, flammable fumes or where oxygen is
being administered.
2) Do not subject the scale to sudden shock, dust and water.
3) The surface of the scale can be slippery when wet.
4) Always weigh at the same time preferably without cloth and before breakfast.
5) If the scale will not be used on a regular basis, remove the battery to prevent possible
damage due to chemical leakage. If battery leaks remove it carefully. Be sure to protect
your hands from touching the liquid.
6) Do not dispose off the battery in an incinerator as they may explode. Place it in the
appropriate bin for recycled material.
7) This product is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial
use.

* Note: The battery included is for demonstrative use. Please change it when the display
reads "LO".

US I NG TH E SCALE
1) Turn the scale over to its backside and open the battery cover carefully.
2) Remove the insulation sheet from the battery contact before using.
3) Set Kg (kilogram) or Lb (pound) on the switch button under the scale.
4) Place the scale on a hard, dry, and flat surface for best accuracy. Very soft, deep pile
carpets or rugs may affect accuracy.
5) Gently step on the scale with parallel feet. Wait until the scale is processing your
weight. Do not lean against any support while the scale is processing the result. For best
results, always use the scale at the same time of the day and at the same position.
Remark: When using the scale for the first time or each time you change the battery,
do not consider the first weighing. Please step off the scale to wait for the scale to auto-
off and then repeat step (5). Your second time weighing will be the correct one.
6) When you step off the scale it will automatically switch off. If no weighing is carried out
while zero is being displayed, the scale will automatically switch itself off after approxima-
tely 6 seconds.
7) Overload: When the scale is overloaded (more than 180 kg / 396 Lb) the display will
show "ERR".
LI TH I U M BAT TE RY
To change:
1) Turn the scale over to its backside and open the battery cover carefully.
2) Remove the battery.
3) Install 1 new lithium battery into its compartment.
4) Ensure "+" sign of the battery is facing up and close the cover.
5) Replace the battery whenever the display reads "LO".
* Note: The battery included is for demonstrative use. Please change it when the display
reads "LO".
6) Remove the battery if the scale is not used for a long period.
7) Dispose off the old battery in appropriate bin for recycled materials.
CAR E A N D MA I NTE NANCE
1) Wipe the scale with a soft cloth with mild detergent. Do not use abrasive or liquid
cleansers and never leave the scale in humid places. Do not allow water to get inside the
scale.
2) Store and transport the scale in its own package.
3) This scale contains electronic parts. Therefore use it carefully: do not drop it, kick it nor
jump on it.
4) Do not store the scale near chemical products nor heaters.
5) This scale is an extremely sensitive device; therefore to save the battery do not leave
any heavy object on it.
