  • Page 4 Installing the Spike App The Spike app is available for download from the App Store or Google Play. On your Smartphone or tablet, launch the App Store or Google Play. Within the search box, search for Spike by ikeGPS. Follow the instructions to download and install the app on your Smartphone or Tablet.

  • Page 6 Aligning the Spike Laser Before using your Spike, you need to ensure that the laser is aligned with the camera of your Smartphone or Tablet. In the Spike app, go to the Settings, and select Align Laser. Rest your Smartphone on top of a flat, hard surface, such as a table top.
  • Page 7 Charging Your Spike Your Spike has an internal battery that requires charging. After setting up your Spike, we recommend charging your Spike for approximately 3 hours. 1 Connect the USB cable provided to the micro USB charging port on the bottom of your Spike.

    In the app home screen, select Gallery. You can view photos that are stored within your Spike app, or on the Spike cloud. Photos may be organized in folders. To add a new folder, tap and then name your folder.

The Spike file is a compressed ZIP file, which contains three Spike photos (JPG without measurements, JPG with measurements and a thumbnail JPG), and an XML file with measurement and location data.
