Before use
^ Find out the mains water hardness
level in your area.
The Miele authorised service technician
will require this information in order to
set the correct reactivation interval for
the water hardness level.
^ Please make a note of the water
hardness level here.
Hardness level:
The service engineer will connect the
Monoblock water softener to the water
supply, fill the resin cartidges with
water and start the system. The built-in
salt valve limits the amount of water
going into and out of the unit by means
of a float switch to ensure there is
sufficient salt available for reactivation.
Only use reactivation salt that is
suitable for water softeners.
It is important to use good quality
reactivation salt. Only use salt tablets
or coarse grained reactivation salt
(8 - 15 mm grain).
Never use cooking salt, as it contains
particles which do not dissolve in water.
These particles can cause a blockage
in the Monoblock water softener.
Filling the salt container
^ Remove the lid.
^ Fill the salt container with salt tablets
or coarse grained reactivation salt via
the salt filler inlet.
Capacity:
10 kg
First fill:

Do not let any salt get into the salt
valve tube.
The valve is protected by a cover.
Make sure that this is closed.
^ Close the lid.
To keep evaporation to a minimum
make sure that the lid is always
replaced securely in position.
The Monoblock water softener is now
ready for operation and will deliver
softened water.
