defrost itself automatically,
Your refrigerator has two control~that let you regulate the
temperature in the FreshFooci
a nd
Freezercompartments,
initiallysetcontrolsat "C"and'5:'
For colder Fresh Food compartment: s et controls at "B"
and "(X'"7;'or "8:'
ForcolderFreezercompartment: set controls at "W and''5:'
For warmerFresh Foodcompartment: set controls at "D"
and "4:' "3:' "2:' or "1:'
Note:
Turningnumbered control to "OFF" turns off ret?ig-
eration in both Fresh Food and Freezer compartments.
After adjusting the temperaturecontrols, allow 24 hoursfor
If you turn your household thermostat down to 60° each
evening, you mayfind it desirableto turn your lettered con-
trol to colder setting by one letter, such as from "C" to "D"
and leave it at this setting during the entire period that you
are setting the household thermostat down each evening.
The numbered setting will not likely need to be changed;
however, if you experiencefreezing in FreshFoodcompart-
ment, you could set the numbered control one number
warmer—suchas "5" to "4:'
if a container of milk is too warm or too cold to your pref-
erence after being on top shelf in Fresh Food compartment
for a day, adjust TemperatureControls accordingly.
When Fresh Food compartmenttemperature is satisfactory,
make the ice cream test. If ice cream remains firm to the
touch after being in Freezer compartment for a day,Tem-
perature Controls are at proper setting. If the ice cream's
firmness is not to your liking, adjust controls accordingly.
Check a day after resetting either control to make sure the
new setting is providing the temperature you desire.
If you advance the /ettered control to "1?'to freeze a quick
supply of ice cubes or a large amount of food, be sure to
reset the control to its previous setting within a day.
