Shown below are various screens that have been preset for communicating with the unit. When you initially open the ASC Beacon Receiver Control Program, the above screen will appear. Click on Configure and the following screen will appear. - Page 11 On the Model pull down screen select the model that you will be working with. In this case you will see that the model ASC300LW has been selected. You will also see that the baud rate has been set at 2400 and the Address has been set to F. Note all other ASC300 series beacon receiver baud rates should be set to 2400.

To connect the ASC ASC300LW modem for remote accessibility:
1. Use either an RS-485 (4-wire) or RS-232 (2-wire) serial interface.
2. Set the serial communication protocol to 2400 Baud, No parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit (2400,N,8,1).
3. Assign a hexadecimal address (1 to F) to the unit:
- Press and hold the LOC/REM button.
- Press and release the RESET button to toggle to REM mode (REM will display on the screen).
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to select the desired address (1 to F).
