The blades are not sharp.

The drive belt is worn, loose,
or broken.

The drive belt is off the pulley.

Corrective Action
1.
Sharpen the blades.
2.
Install new blades.
3.
Level the mower from
side-to-side and front-to-rear.
4.
Clean the underside of the
mower.
5.
Adjust the tire pressure.
6.
Contact an Authorized
Service Dealer.

Check the belt tension.
2.
Install the drive belt and
check the adjusting shafts
and the belt guides for the
correct position.
3.
Install the new mower belt.
4.
Install the deck pulley and
check the idler pulley, idler
arm, and spring for the
correct position and function.

Adjust the blade brake.
2.
Adjust the belt guide.
