POWER SOURCE

This unit operates on 8 X 'C' (UM‐2) size batteries or from
A. DC POWER OPERATION
1.
Open the Battery Door
2.
Insert 8 "C" (UM‐2) size batteries (not included) according to the polarity diagram on the back cabinet.
3.
Close the Battery Door
IMPORTANT:
Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong polarity may damage the unit.
Note: For better performance and longer operating time, we recommend the use of alkaline‐type batteries.
(a) Do not mix old and new batteries.
(b) Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon‐zinc) or rechargeable (nickel‐cadmium) batteries.
If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the battery. Old or leaking battery can
cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
B. AC OPERATION
1. Connect the included AC Power Cord to the AC Mains
2. Connect the other end of the AC Power Cord to a wall outlet with

CD PLAYER OPERATION

1.
Set the Function Selector
2.
Open the CD Door (#18). Place an audio CD with its label side upward in the CD compartment and close
the CD Door.
3.
After a few seconds, the total number of tracks on the CD will appear in the CD Track Display
4.
Press the CD PLAY/PAUSE Button
Display will light steadily.
5.
Adjust the Volume Control

To suspend playing, press the CD PALY/PAUSE Button (#11). The CD Track Display will flash. To resume
playing, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE

You can choose to play your favorite track directly by pressing the CD FWD Skip Button
or CD REV Skip Button

To repeat playing a particular track, press the REPEAT Button

This function allows the tracks to be played in a programmed sequence.
