  • Page 6 Physical location and cable “dress” can be an important factor in minimizing hum pickup. The installation should situate the CA200 well away from sources (CD player, tuner, etc.) and power (ac mains) cords should be dressed to remain at least 4" (100mm) away from input/output cables.
  • Page 7 We recommend the use of an amplifier with an in- put impedance of 20k ohms or higher. The Pre Out is phase cor- rect. See the section on “Getting the most out of your CA200" for an explanation.

  • Page 9 <mute>: The mute button performs two functions – to mute the output when listening, and also to switch the CA200 on and off. To turn the CA200 on or off, press and hold the mute button for two seconds. When on, pressing the mute button will silence the preamplifier main outputs, and set the level display to zero on both channels.

    Remote Control All operations of the CA200 can be controlled by the wireless re- mote unit. MUTE: Pressing the mute button will cause the main outputs to mute and the level display to be zero. Pressing it again will restore the last level setting.
  • Page 11: Absolute Phase

    This will be the case if the number of phase inver- sions is even (or zero). The CA200 is phase inverting. If your system has an odd number of inversions, (for example, if the CA200 is the only phase inverting unit in the chain) then you must add one phase inversion.

  • Page 13 Net Weight: 38 lb net Fuses There are 8 fuses in the CA200. One is the ac power line (mains) fuse. It is located in a fuse holder built into the IEC main power cord receptacle on the back of the amplifier. There are four fuses for the main DC power supplies (two for each channel).
