Changing the Scale of the
Keyboard
You can use the procedure in this section to change the scale
(tuning system) of the keyboard from the standard equal
temperament to another scale that is more suitable for playing
Indian music, Arabic music, ancient classics, etc.
You can select from among 16 preset scales, or you can
adjust specific notes to created the scale you want.
Using the Scale Editor
The Scale Editor provides you the following four options for
changing the scale.

Description
Changes the tuning value
in 1-cent steps within the
range of +99 to –99 cents.
Lowers the tuning value by
–50 cents. Use the option
to lower the E and G notes
of the scale for Arabic
music.
Use this option to select
from among a collection of
preset scales.
Changes the scale to the
standard equal
temperament.

Scale Editor option you want.
• If you do not perform any operation for a few seconds
after the selection screen appears, the display will
return to the previous screen automatically.

■ Scale Fine Tune
1.
Press the key whose note you want to change,

(10-key) [–] and [+] keys to
change the tuning value.
