* Makesurehose
connectionsare tight at faucets.
~ Make sure end of drain hose is correctly insetied in and secured to drain facility.
~ Make sure washer is leveland firm to the floor with rubber footpads in place and
frontjam nuts tight. See the InstallationInstructions.
~ A sharp, distinctivesound will be heard at the end of each spin period as the motor
stops and the spin brake inside the transmission"locks in~'This sound is normal.
~ Heavily"unbalancedloads can cause the washer to vibrate excessivelyduring spin,
and may cause it"tomovefrom its original position. In extreme cases (usuallyoccurs
when washinga single, heavy item or a small load when water level is set higher than
necessary), the spin basket may strike the outer tub, creating a loud but harmless noise.
To correct, open the lid and redistributethe load evenly about the wash basket. C~ose
the lid and restart.
* Washernormally pauses between washing steps . . .such as between wash and spin or
between spin and rinse.

INSTRUCTIONS
The tub. The porcelain is
self-cleaning. Leave lid open after
wdshingto allow Inoistureto
evaporare.Do not use harsh
or gritty cleansers.
The exterior. Wipe off any spills of
washing compounds. Wipe or dust
with damp cloth. Try not to hit
surface with sharp objects.
To store washer:
Ask service technician to remove
water from drain pump and hoses
to prevent freezing,
Do not store the washer where it
will be exposed to the weather.

Be sure water supply is shut off at

at regular intervals—about4 to 6
months—and remove any lint that
may have accumulated. No tools
are needed, simply grasp agitator
with both hands and pull straight

coating of lubricant to prevent parts
from sticking together. If this area

carefully lower straight down onto
the shaft so that it fits into the slots.
Then apply downward pressure
until agitator snaps into its normal
