6. Camera Layout Diagram
Refer to this diagram and associated tables to familiarize yourself with your camera
and learn its functions.
Item # Name Description
1 Shutter Press the shutter button to:
• Take photographs
• Start/stop recording a video clip
• Confirm changes in menu mode
2 Power on/off button • Press the power button for at least
2 seconds to switch the camera on or off.
• Press the power button to display or hide the
status icon on the LCD.
3 Monitor switching button Press this button to switch between the front
and back monitor.
4 Front monitor Use the front monitor when taking self-portraits.
5 Flash Use the built-in flash to supply extra lighting
when shooting in the dark (the best shooting
distance is within 1.5m).
6 Lens Capture the image.
Note: Keep the lens clean. Dirt and fingerprints
adversely affect image quality.
7 Busy indicator Blinks when the camera is busy; do not take
pictures when busy.
8 Macro/normal switch • Macro mode: Select this mode to take close-
up photographs (distance 11cm - 18cm).
• Normal mode: Select this mode to take
photographs from.

2. Safety Information
Your Ivation Waterproof camera will serve you well for years to come, particularly if you
follow these simple safety instructions:
• Don't open the battery door under water! The camera itself is watertight as is the
battery case when sealed closed, but if opened under water irreptable camera
damage may result.
• Close the battery door properly for best water sealing.
• Rinse the camera with clean water after use and store it dry.

displayed on the left.
• In Playback mode: press to return to the
previous item.
• In Photo Infinite Preview mode: press to
switch to flash mode.
• When zooming in under Image Playback
mode: press to move to the left portion of
the photo.
• In Video Playback mode: press for fast rewind.

14 Mode switch • Press to switch between video and still
capture mode;
• In Playback mode: press this button to exit.
• When zooming in under Image Playback
mode: press to move to the upper portion of
the photo.
• In Video Playback mode: press to stop the video.
15 Menu / Delete • In Preview mode: press to enter the settings
Menu.
• In Playback mode:
- Press for a short time to enter "Delete single/ all
files" mode.
- Press for a long time to display the file compiling
and system setting menu.
- In Photo (zoom in) Playback mode: press to
move to the lower area of the photo.
• Playback lets you see the photos and video you just shot; delete what you don't like
and save the rest.
• Photo and Video Protection – Passing the camera so everyone can take pictures but
want to be be sure your favorites are not deleted? Protect them using this handy
feature. Even 'delete all' does not delete images saved in protection mode. If you
change you mind, unprotect the images as easily as you protected them!
• 7 Language Display Options enables you and your friends to see prompts in any of the
seven langues: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese or Spanish.
