I've got a toothbrush that's been around awhile. Do the batteries go bad after awhile ? I can't get the toothbrush to turn the brushes. I let it charge overnight.

Yes, the batteries in the Rotadent ProCare toothbrush can go bad over time. A user reported that their toothbrush stopped holding a charge after a few weeks, even though a healthy unit should charge for close to a day and last for a couple of weeks. This suggests that the battery may degrade or become defective over time.
