USING THE CD PLAYER
GETTING STARTED
•
Set the Function Switch to 'CD'
.•
Open the CD door with the finger lift at the right hand side of the door.
•
Before first use, remove the protective card from the CD compartment.
•
Place a CD (label up) on the central spindle.
•
Press gently to secure the CD in place.
•
Close the CD door
The disc will spin briefly, then stop. The display indicates the num-
ber of tracks on the disc.
TO PLAY A CD
•
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button
The disc will play from Track 1 and the Play icon lights.
TO PAUSE A CD WHILE PLAYING
•
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button
The disc will pause. In Pause mode the sound mutes
and the play icon display flashes.
•
Press PLAY/PAUSE again to resume play.
TO STOP A CD WHILE PLAYING
•
Press the STOP/FOLDER button. The play icon extinguishes.
TO PLAY A CD FROM A SELECTED TRACK
•
Press SKIP
or
, repeatedly to select the track
•
Press PLAY/PAUSE to play from the track.
TO CHANGE TRACKS DURING PLAY
•
Press SKIP
or
repeatedly, to select and play from the desired track.
TO GO BACK TO THE START OF A TRACK DURING PLAY
•
Press SKIP
once.
TO SEARCH FOR A PARTICULAR PASSAGE DURING PLAY
•
Press and hold SKIP
or
During the search the sound is played faster than normal and at reduced volume.
Play returns to normal when SKIP
PROGRAM PLAY
Program play should be selected when the CD is stopped.
To select and play a Program:
•
Press PROGRAM The 'PROGRAM' indicator lights.
The display flashes P01.
•
Press SKIP
or
to select the track
•
Press PROGRAM to store the selection.
The display flashes P02.
•
Choose another track. (the count will start
from the last track you selected).
•
Press PROGRAM to store the selection.
(You may program up to 20 tracks).
•
Press PLAY/PAUSE
The program will play once and stop.
When a program is in play the PROG icon displays.
Note: In 'Program' mode, if you stop the disc the program will still
be in the memory. This will be indicated on the display.
To replay the program: Press PLAY/PAUSE
To erase the program: Press STOP/FOLDER twice
Switching the Function Switch to OFF or RADIO will stop the CD and erase any
program contents.
