Application
To share a wired (Ethernet) connection to wireless devices, such as in a hotel room, small office, etc.
To set up a Wi-Fi network from an existing wired (Ethernet) network.
To extend the range of an existing Wi-Fi network.
To function as a wireless adapter to connect your wired device (e.g. Blu-ray® player, smart TV, or game console) to a wireless network.

Set the Operation Mode Switch to Router/AP.

Connect the router according to steps A to C in the left diagram.

Connect your device to the router wirelessly or via an Ethernet cable. The Wi-Fi network name
and password is on the router's label.

Launch a web browser and type http://tplinkwifi.net into the address bar. Enter admin (in
lowercase) for both user name and password to log in.
Click Quick Setup on the left panel and click Next to start configuring the router. Select

Standard Wireless Router mode and click Next.

Select the WAN Connection Type of your Internet Service Provider and follow the screen

instructions to configure the router. When using the router in a hotel room or in a small office,
select Dynamic IP.

On the Wireless screen, either keep the default Wireless Network Name and Password or
customize them, then click Next.

Click Finish to complete the configuration.

Select the LAN IP type of the router or you can leave Smart IP as the default setting for most
cases, and click Next.

Click Reboot to complete the configuration.
Indication
The router is ready for operation.
The router is booting or connecting to an Ethernet device.
Description
Connects a USB storage device for sharing or connects a mobile device
to charge.
Press this button to connect devices via the WPS (Wireless Protected
Setup) method.
Press and hold for 5 seconds to restore the router to its factory default
settings. Refer to the FAQ section for instruction.
Functions as the LAN port in Access Point, Repeater and Client mode.
Functions as the WAN port in Standard Wireless Router mode.
Connects an Ethernet-enabled device to the local network.
