  • Page 5 Radikal E640 HEAD ASSEMBLY (FLYBAR VERSION) Do not open all the bags prior to starting assembly. Open the bags step by step as you go through this BAG 1 instruction manual. The components are bagged to make assembly easier. The next few pages will per- tain to the assembly of the head.

Ensure lubricant is applied to the thrust bearings. Be careful when taking the thrust bearings out of the blade grips. The diagram with lengths are drawn at a true to life scale, therefore you can lay your linkages on the diagram to find the correct measurements.

  • Page 15 MAIN SHAFT BEARING BLOCKS & ELEVATOR ARM Radikal E640 BAG 2 & 4 The bearings #6 & #8 are already factory installed. Please be sure to apply thread- lock to the the M3x6 button head screw (#5). Hint: The A-Arm already comes assem- bled.
  • Page 16 MAIN FRAME ASSEMBLY Radikal E640 BAG 2 & 3 It is best to start this process by doing one side at a time. Assemble the motor mount and elevator arm on to the frames. Notice part #8 and the direction the flanged bear- ing is facing as well as the battery tray guides.
  • Page 17 MAIN FRAME ASSEMBLY Radikal E640 BAG 2 Hint: The rudder control bell crank assembly (Part # 1 through 8) should be loosely attached to the frame. This part will need to be removed at a later time in order to install the tailboom as- sembly to the frame.

    SERVO INSTALLATION Radikal E640 BAG 2 & 3 The diagram does not show the servos being installed with servo grommets which are usu- ally included with all servos. It is recommended you run the servo grommets to prolong the life of the servos.

  • Page 23 Radikal E640 TORQUE TUBE INSTALLATION BAG 7 Hint: The torque tube comes pre-assembled and in- stalled into the tailboom. To assist in removal for in- spection of the torque tube, use a little bit of rubbing alcohol and pour a little bit within the tailboom which will loosen the rubber bearing retainer.

  • Page 25 TAIL BLADE GRIPS Radikal E640 BAG 4 The tail assembly comes assembled for your example only. It is ne- cesssary to disassemble the tail blade grips to apply thrust bearing grease to the thrust bearings. It is also important to remove the set screw from the tail rotor hub and apply medium threadlock to this set screw.

    MAIN GEAR ASSEMBLY Radikal E640 BAG 2 For the roller bearings, we recommend a very light oil. The oil MUSTNOT attack/break down plastic as this could damage the cage in the one-way bearing. Prior to applying oil, make sure to clean the roller bearings with a cotton swab making sure there is no debris in the bearings.
