Introduction This chapter provides a product description of the StorageWorks SWXOR Series 600 MB, dual-speed, CD-ROM drives. It also identifies the various models and their storage subsystem configurations. Product Description The dual-speed, SWXOR series CD-ROM (Figure 1–1) is a low-profile, 600 MB, compact, storage device compatible with StorageWorks storage subsystems. -

Installation This chapter describes how to set the SCSI ID address of the drive(s), install an SBB into a storage subsystem, and how to upgrade a half-populated (single drive) SBB from one to two drives. Operation and Maintenance This chapter discusses the operation of the controls and the LED indicator on the front panel of the CD-ROM. It also describes how to load a CD, manually eject a CD drawer, and preventive maintenance. Controls and Indicator The front panel of the CD-ROM (Figure 3–1) contains controls and an indicator which allow the operator to access, control, and monitor the operation of the drive. -
