Filling Remove the kettle from the base unit before filling. Fill the kettle with water to the desired level. Do not fill beyond the “MAX” level mark as water may spill out.

    3. Lime scale deposits Lime scale is a calcareous deposit, which naturally forms when water is heated. It can be found mostly adhered to the heating element. Lime scale is not harmful to your health but if poured into your beverage it can give a powdery taste to your drink.

    PARTS IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. ALWAYS MAINTAIN SAFETY WHEN USING ANY APPLIANCE.  Check that the mains voltage corresponds with the rating of the appliance before operating.  Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.  To protect against electric shock, do not immerse appliance-- its cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • Page 7  Do not use the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged --or after the appliance has been damaged in any manner.  If the supply cord or appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

     The stop button is there to prematurely stop the toasting process.  Reheat button with indicator light -- the light goes on when the button is depressed.  The reheat button is used to heat up the toast.  The defrost button with indicator light -- the light goes on when the button is depressed.
  • Page 10  The crumb tray will need to be cleaned occasionally.  Brush the crumbs from the tray using a small brush or cloth.  Slide the crumb tray back, ensuring it locks into place.  Do not try to clean the inside of the toaster, as this may damage the heating elements.
