  • Page 3 QUICK START Smoke Detector Camera : SB-SK540 BEFORE FIRST USE - SD CARD The Smoke Detector Camera must have an SD card inserted to work properly. It will accept an SD card of up to 32 GB in size. 1. The SD card is inserted into the side of the device. You do not need to remove the top of the device.
  • Page 4 QUICK START Smoke Detector Camera : SB-SK540 OPTIONAL SET UP AND USE You may find it easier and more convenient to use your device with a long power / video cord, and optional monitor. This will allow you to place the device anywhere without worry of a nearby power supply or television.
  • Page 5 QUICK START Smoke Detector Camera : SB-SK540 SET UP Connect the Smoke Detector Camera to a monitor or TV to adjust your recording and motion detection settings. Use the included remote control. We will briefly cover the options available to you in this guide.

    QUICK START Smoke Detector Camera : SB-SK540 SETTINGS 1. Use the Remote Control to access the Menu. 2. Use the UP / DOWN / LEFT / RIGHT buttons to adjust settings. Back / Stop 3. Use the OK button to Save Changes.
  • Page 7 QUICK START Smoke Detector Camera : SB-SK540 SET MOTION DETECT You will use this setting to set where motion should be detection in your camera’s view. For example, if you the camera to ignore the area where your fish tank is, you will enter this setting and remove detection in the area of your fish tank.
  • Page 8 QUICK START Smoke Detector Camera : SB-SK540 MANUAL RECORD SETTINGS A manual recording is when you press the RECORD button on your remote. Your device will immediately start recording using these settings. To stop recording, press the STOP button. 1. Highlight the Manual Record Menu and press OK to enter.

    QUICK START Smoke Detector Camera : SB-SK540 SD CARD OPTIONS 1. Use the Menu Option to set the Maximum File Length of your recordings, up to 5 minutes in length. 2. CARD FULL option tells the device what to do when your SD card is full.

    QUICK START Smoke Detector Camera : SB-SK540 YOUR FILES You may view your recordings using the SEARCH and PLAY option from the Main Menu. You will see a list of dates, and how many files there are for each date. It will also show you the first frame of that file, and the type of event it recorded, such as a MOTION ACTIVATED file, or Manual Recording.

However, if you are having problems playing your files, or need more options, please download and try these programs.
