Loading the Batteries 1 . Remove the battery box cover by sliding it off . Insert two (2) AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, observing the proper polarity as indicated . 2 . Push the battery compartment cover down and slide forward to close . Battery precautions Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device . 1 . Use only the size and type of batteries specified . 2 . Be sure to follow the correct polarity (+/–) when installing the batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment . Reversed polarity may cause damage to the device . 3 . Do not mix different types of batteries together (e .g . Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with new ones . 4 . If the device will not be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage .
Power On/Off Push the POWER button for 2 seconds to activate your digital camera . Push it again to turn it off . If the digital camera is left inactive for 1, 3 or 5 minutes, it will automatically turn off . Auto-Off can be set to 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or disabled . (For more information, see the “Setup” section . ) . Power Low If your battery is low, you will see a battery icon ( ) and “Low battery” will display on the bottom left corner of the LCD . It will then turn itself off in 3 seconds . Using the Filter The quality of images or videos will be better when you install the filter on the lens before taking pictures or recording video when in daylight . Note: When using a Night Shoot LED to capture a night scene, remove the filter . (For more information about night shooting, see Camera Mode on pages 13-15)
Attach the filter to the camcorder . 1 . In order to avoid damaging or losing the filter, attach the filter to the camcorder using the included connecting cord . Mass Storage Mode is compatible with Windows and can be used by connecting the Digital Camcorder to a computer with the supplied USB cable . Images or movies can be copied, moved or deleted in exactly the same way as other files on your computer . Note: For Windows ME, 2000, XP and VISTA operating system, it is not necessary to install the Digital Camera driver . Driver installation is only needed for Windows 98 . Memory Space Indication 1 . is shown in the lower left corner of display that indicates the micro SD Card is inserted in the device (see FIG-1) . 2 . When the internal memory is full, “Memory Full” will be displayed on the LCD . 3 .
