    GENERAL INFORMATION GAS INSTALLATION CODES Barbecues must be used in accordance with the installation requirements of your gas supply authority, or the appropriate installation code issued by the Australian Gas Association or relevant authority. Barbecues for use with bottled (LPG) gas are labelled LPG or Propane Gas. Check the gas type sticker affixed to your barbecue.

    SPECIFICATIONS Barbecue specifications can be found on the data label attached to the barbecue. WARNING !I- YOU SMELL GAS 1. SHUT OFF THE GAS SUPPLY TO THE BARBECUE AT THE CYLINDER VALVE 2. EXTINGUISH ANY OPEN FLAME 3. REMOVE LID OR OPEN HOOD 4.
  • Page 4 Tools Required – 1 Phillips Screwdriver 2 x 10cm adjustable spanners REMOVE ALL TRANSIT PACKAGING PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY STEP 1 - Insert the Flavor Grids into the cut outs with triangle ridges facing up. Make sure the flavor grid with the long side is installed next to the bottom IR burner. STEP 2 - Install Main Cooking Grates on the ledges provided on the grill to create your cooking surface.
  • Page 5 STEP 3 - Rest bread warming grate on four (4) slots above cooking grid. STEP 4 - Pull out the drawer, you will find the igniter battery housing on the left side. Unscrew the black cap and feed the "AA" battery into the igniter with the Positive (+) end facing out. Screw the cap back into palce on the battery housing.
  • Page 6 STEP 5 - Remove any labels and additional packing material from the grill. Be sure to clean all foam packing material out of all areas. Congratulations! Your grill is now fully assembled. Please proceed and read the Gas Requirements and Operation portion of the Use and Care Manual before attempting to hook up the LP gas cylinder or operating your grill.

    General Assembly Connecting and Disconnecting to Gas Cylinder WARNING ! - BEFORE CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING BARBECUE TO GAS CYLINDER, ENSURE ALL CONTROLS ARE IN THE OFF POSITION. FOR STORAGE AND CYLINDER EXCHANGE, DISCONNECT HOSE AT THE CYLINDER ONLY, DO NOT DISCONNECT HOSE FROM APPLIANCE Check 1.

    General Assembly WARNING! FAT CUP MUST BE EMPTIED PRIOR TO USE. Burner Operation and Ignition Check 1. Ensure roast hood is OPEN. 2. With burner controls in OFF position, turn on gas cylinder valve. 3. Upon first assembly, the gas lines and burners will be full of air. In order for the burners to operate properly, the lines must fill with gas.

    Operating Procedure Cooking with the Hood Down Cooking with the hood in the closed position helps to cook the food more quickly than conventional open barbecues. The hood (when closed) helps retain the heat more evenly and conserves energy. High direct heat on the cooking surface when the hood is down will result in burnt food.
