Tailgate

Insert the key and turn it clockwise to
unlock the tailgate. Lift the tailgate.
The tailgate will be automatically
locked when the tailgate is pushed
down and closed.
Be sure that no-one's hands or any part
of the body are within the closing area
of the tailgate.
Caution
When opening or closing the
tailgate, be sure to check it is free
from obstructions.

Tailgate Release Lever

You can open the tailgate by pulling the
tailgate release lever which is mounted
on the floor to the right of the driver
seat.
Keys, Doors and Windows
Warning
Exhaust gases can enter the vehicle if
it is driven with the tailgate or
trunk/hatch open, or with any objects
that pass through the seal between
the body and the trunk/hatch or
tailgate. Engine exhaust contains
carbon monoxide (CO) which
cannot be seen or smelt. It can cause
unconsciousness and even death.
