GENERAL INFORMATION a.1 Safety instructions ATTENTION Read carefully and comply with these rules, before installing the stove: • All local regulations, including those referring to national and European laws, must be respected while installing the stove. • Verify if the wiring and plugs are able to bear the maximum absorption of the stove, which is reported on the plate.

a.3 Il pellet The pellet fuel is a product with sawdust and shavings of wood processing that are dried, and thereafter compacted at high pressure, only thanks to the binding capacity of lignin, a substance naturally present in the wood , no adhesive or chemicals are added . For this reason, the pellet is considered a natural and renewable fuel.

Guarantee The guarantee is valid only if the official maintenance certificate attached to the stove is signed by the Authorized Castelmonte Service Center, which is the only one authorized to start up the stove. The expected 24-months guarantee is valid exclusively when the installation and test are performed by an Authorized Castelmonte Service Center.
B. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS b.1 Initial warnings The stove must be installed on a pavement that presents an adequate load capacity. If the existing building does not satisfy this requirement, appropriate measures (for instance a burden distribution plate) must be taken. The installation of the device must guarantee an easy access to clean the stove, the exhausted gas piping and the flue.

Installation must be done by qualified personnel For safety reasons, maintain a distance of, at least 20 cm. between the hot sides of the stove and possible flammable covering materials (such as wood panelled walls, wallpapers) L = 20 cm. min. B = 20 cm. min. R = 20 cm. min. In case of presence of delicate objects, such as furniture, curtains, sofas, considerably increase the distance of the stove.

In any case, the technician that installs the stove MUST apply all the requested safety rules and WILL BE RESPONSABLE of the proper installation. b.5 Flue If you build a chimney we recommend the choice of brick or insulated stainless steel, in order to be sure to compliance with all the necessary conditions for the proper operation of the stove. IMPORTANT: The design and installation of a flue must be done by qualified technician in compliance with the existing rules.

WARNING: -Both the chimney that the connection pipe must receive exhaust of a single stove. - It is absolutely forbidden to discharge fumes without proper chimney. It is important avoid bottlenecks that obstruct the exit of smoke. SHARED FLUES INDIPENDENT FLUES...
b.6 Chimney Cap It must be located in a full wind position and the fume outlet section must be at least twice the section of the flue. If the chimney cap is located at less than 3meters from higher part of the building, it must be raised until it is higher than the highest roof.
b.7 Flue Connection - The flue connection must be made with specific tubes fitted with seal junction - Use the minimum number of bends, trying to limit at two the number of the same. Open curves at 45 ° are advisable. - When connecting the exhaust channel to the flue, make sure that it is completely sealed and airtight.

b.9 Testing and commissioning Before starting up the stove is necessary to test the installation to verify proper operation of all parts including: Connection to the smoke evacuation system- The electrical connections Presence and efficiency of the air intake The test is considered positive only after that all phases of the operation will be completed without any faults happen.

C. c.2 Radio control The stove is controlled through the remote control or in case of emergency by the small rear “emergency panel”. The remote control is used to adjust all of the operating parameters, set the timer, but especially to continuously monitor the ambient temperature. The keyboard of the remote control is equipped with rubber keys, the upper directly accessible, while the lower keys are hidden by the door.

c.5 Setting current time and day. Enter into setting mode pressing down for 2 seconds the key CLOCK (key 13) .Use the keys “+” and “-“ (keys 9 and 12 ) to modify the current time, the key OK(key 10) must be press to confirm and, after completion, to exit the menu.
c.7 Operating mode The stove can work in the following modes: MANUAL AUTOMATIC AUTOMATIC ECOSTOP To choose Manual or Automatic press the key Mode (key 1). The Automatic Ecostop is activated pressing at lest for 4 second the key Ecostop (key 7) Manual Mode: In this mode you can only vary the power.

activate the Ecostop when we are in the power setting mode the system will automatically switch to the temperature setting. The two keys, key 3 and 5 key allow you to increase / decrease the temperature to be set. Note: when active Ecostop for the first time, first check that the set temperature in the automatic mode is higher than the ambient temperature, after activate Ecostop and perform adjustment to the desired temperature If the remote control is turned off in Ecostop mode, the Ecostop icon will be off.
c.8 Warm air ventilation The stove is equipped with an internal fan for expulsion of heating air. The fan can be set at 5 different speeds, from 0 to 5, using the key 2 of the remote control. Level 0 activates turns the AUTO, while the other values activate a number of bars equal to the value of the corresponding level.
c.10 Sleep Mode. Sleep mode creates a shutdown at a time preset by the user. Setting this mode is only possible in remote control on and Chrono disabled. If the Sleep mode is enabled, once the radio is turned off, sleep mode is cancelled and will no longer be resubmitted at the next turning on the radio control.

To activate the selection mode Chrono is necessary to press the Chrono key (8) for at least 4 seconds. The clock of the remote control display (Area 3) remains on, and the program selected is flashing instead of the current. c.13 Turning ON / OFF from emergency panel If where the remote control is defective or the batteries are dead, you can operate the stove through the rear emergency panel. To start the stove you have to move the selector # 4 of the emergency panel to the ON position.

E. MAINTENANCE e.1 Routine cleaning (by the user) Before cleaning is necessary to remove the plug from the socket and operate only when the stove is cold Note: It is recommended to perform daily cleaning inside of the stove to ensure a perfect operation.

The chimney and smoke outlet pipes should therefore be inspected and cleaned by qualified personnel at least once, and if necessary several times a year, before starting the stove.
