FOR YOUR SAFETY
Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity
of this or any other appliance.
POST IN A PROMINENT LOCATION
Instructions to be followed in the event user smells gas.
This information shall be obtained by consulting your local gas supplier. As
a minimum, turn off the gas and call your gas company and your authorized
service agent. Evacuate all personnel from the area.
IMPROPER INSTALLATION, ADJUSTMENT, ALTERATION,
SERVICE OR MAINTENANCE CAN CAUSE PROPERTY DAMAGE,
INJURY OR DEATH. READ THE INSTALLATION, OPERATING
AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE
INSTALLING OR SERVICING THIS EQUIPMENT.

Commercial Foodservice Equipment suggests that if you are suspicious of damage
to make a notation on the delivery receipt. It will be the responsibility of the
consignee to file a claim with the carrier. We recommend that you do so at once.

To ensure best results, it is important that you read and follow the instructions in this manual carefully.

    General Installation Instructions Ensure gas supply and gas-type as shown on unit data plate agree. Installation of this equipment must conform to the current editions of the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54, the National Gas Installation Code, CSA-B149.1, or the Propane Installation Code, CSA-B149.2 as applicable and in accordance with local codes. Screw legs into the permanently fastened nuts on the four corners of the unit and tighten by hand.

    Gas Type Conversion These instructions are for conversion from Natural Gas to Propane (LP) on all models. The conversion should be performed before connecting the unit to the gas supply. Units are shipped from the factory equipped for use with natural gas. Orifices necessary for Propane (LP) are provided in a bag tied to the valve on the front panel.

    Gas Type Conversion Main Burner Orifice Remove the control knobs and front panel. IGNITION HOT PLATE Unscrew the bolts and pilot valve, and remove the manifold. Manifold Replace the correct orifice fittings for the gas type into the valve. NOTE: Unit number on side of orifice fittings Replace the front control panel and tighten the four (4) screws on the front to secure the panel in place.

    Lighting Instructions The burners are fitted with individual standing pilots for each burner. This allows the main burners to be turned ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’ without the need to manually relight the burner each time it is turned ‘ON’. The burner will automatically light itself by the pilot burner. Flame Failure Protection is incorporated by way of a thermo-electric system which will shut off the gas supply to the burner(s) in the event the pilot burner goes out.

    Lighting Instructions Main burner air supply For efficient burner operation, a proper balance of gas volume and primary air supply must be maintained which will result in complete combustion. Insufficient air supply results in a yellow flame. The primary air supply is controlled by an air shutter on the front of the burner.

    Cleaning & Maintenance To avoid product damage, use only non-abrasive clean- ers. Abrasive cleaners could scratch the finish of your unit, marring its appearance and making it susceptible to dirt accumulation. Do not use steel wool, other abrasive cleaners or cleaners/sanitizers containing chlorine, iodine, ammonia or bromine, as these will deteriorate the stainless steel and glass materials and shorten the life of the unit.
