What this guide does: This guide will help you to quickly configure and set up the zAC-DVR, and will briefly summarize the steps to record and play back videos. Before you get started please ensure you have the following required items at hand.
I - Motion activated video capture. This device records on motion activation by default. Ensure the memory card is installed in the unit 2. Plug in the unit to your A/C wall outlet. The device should now record automatically anytime there’s motion. It will continue to record for at least 15 seconds unless motion is still present.

IV – Setup menu & live video footage. 1. Ensure the device is connected to you’re A/C outlet, and it is powered on. Connect the included A/V cable to the side of the unit, and the other end (Yellow-Red) to your TV. Using your TV’s remote locate a button to select the input source you’ve connected the A/V cable to.

V – Playing recorded video on the TV. Please follow the steps in the previous section (IV – Setup menu & live footage) and make sure you can see the live video before continuing with this section. 1. Point the included remote control at the zAC-VCR device and press the Play/Pause button on to the top left corner of the remote.

VIII – Video Date-Time stamp setting up. Please follow the steps to access the setup menu in section Select from the MAIN MENU. SET DATE /TIME • Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons on the remote to select the different time and date items on the menu.

CELL EDIT: Press button to add or remove the area tiles. ADD BLOCK / DELETE BLOCK: Press button to start and area block, move the cursor with the arrow buttons and then press again to finish the block selection. ADD ALL / DELETE ALL: Press to select or clear all motion sensitive area.
X – Scheduled recording. Please follow the steps to access the setup menu in section Select from the MAIN MENU. SCHEDULE RECORD • Using the arrow keys on the remote move to one of the 24 hours on the menu and press the to choose switch in between methods of recording you want for that particular hour.
XI – Memory card management. Please follow the steps to access the setup menu in section Select from the main menu. SD CARD OPTIONS The SD CARD OPTIONS menu shows the total memory card size with the amount of memory left: MAX FILE SIZE: Specifies the file size segments.

XII - Language Settings & Video output format. Select from the MAIN MENU. POWER ON SETUP Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys on the remote to highlight the LANGUAGE or COMPOSITE items, then use press LEFT/RIGHT to change the language values or to change video composite values from NTSC or PAL.

XIII – Video & Audio recording modes Select from the MAIN MENU. MANUAL RECORD Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys on the remote to select the items on the list, then use press LEFT/RIGHT to change the respected values. VIDEO SIZE / FRAME RATE: 640 by 480 pixel resolution at 12 frames per second or320 by 240 pixel resolution at 15 frames per second.
