Wake to ALARM, FM, AM or WEATHER RADIO 1. The Alarm (or FM, AM, Weather radio) will automatically turn on when alarm time is reached. The volume level of the Alarm (or FM, AM, Weather radio) increases gradually until it reaches the factory preset level. The Alarm (or FM, AM, Weather radio) sounds for 30 minutes and then turn off automatically if the SNOOZE or MENU buttons are not pressed. -

HINTS FOR BEST RECEPTION: - The AM antenna is located inside the cabinet of the unit. If AM reception is weak, change the position of unit until the internal antenna picks up the strongest signal. - To insure maximum FM tuner reception, the Telescopic Antenna should be fully extended and rotated to obtain the best possible station reception. - Page 11 HINTS FOR BEST RECEPTION: - To insure maximum weather band reception, the Telescopic Antenna should be fully extended and rotated to obtain the best possible station reception. Note: 1.) The radio will continue to drain the battery if it's left in Weather Standby Mode, so it is highly recommended that you use AC adaptor(included) to prevent the battery from completely draining and turning the radio off while in use.
- Page 12 • PROGRAMMING YOUR S.A.M.E. COUNTY CODES The SFA1150 Weather Alert Radio is preset to receive “ANY” alerts and transmissions that are broadcast. If you want to receive all the alerts that are broadcast by NOAA, leave the “COUNTY” setting on “ANY”. For more options, follow the menu selections below.

The SFA1150 will only alert you when there is a warning/watch/advisory for the one county you entered the S.A.M.E. code for, as long as it is within the area covered by the NOAA broadcast you are monitoring.

- Page 15 DISABLE that alert. When disabled, the SFA1150 will ignore Special Marine Warnings that are broadcast by NOAA. See the “SELECTABLE ALERT REFERENCE CHART” section in this manual for a list of the pre-defined events loaded in this radio.

L L OAD DEFAULT If you forget some of your settings or want to clear all your previous settings, you may need to go through a “LOAD DEFAULT” procedure to reset the SFA1150 back to its factory settings. 1. Press the MENU button, and “TIME” is shown on the display. -

Notes: • If you connect this unit to the Line-Out Jack of your external device, then you only need to adjust the volume control of this unit. If you connect this unit to the Headphone Jack of your external device, you may need to adjust both the volume control of your external device and the volume control of this unit to find the most desirable volume setting. -
