LOCKING AND UNLOCKING

Central Locking
The central locking function will only
operate when all the doors are closed
Note: Central locking also locks and
unlocks the fuel filler door.
Locking
Locking With the Key
Turn the top of the key toward the front of
your vehicle.
Double Locking With the Key
Turn the top of the key toward the front of
your vehicle twice within three seconds.
Locking With the Remote Control
Press the button.
Note: The driver door can be locked with
the key if the remote control is not
functioning.
Double Locking With the Remote
Control
Press the button twice within
three seconds.
Unlocking
Unlocking With the Key
Turn the top of the key toward the rear of
your vehicle.
Unlocking With the Remote Control
Press the button.

Locks

Note: The driver door can be unlocked with
the key if the remote control is not
functioning.
Note: If your vehicle remains locked for
several weeks, the remote control will be
disabled. The vehicle must be unlocked and
the engine started using the key. Unlocking
your vehicle and starting the engine will
enable the remote control.
Automatic Relocking
The doors will relock automatically if you
do not open a door within 45 seconds of
unlocking your vehicle with the remote
control. The door locks and the alarm will
return to their previous state.
Reprogramming the Unlocking
Function
The unlocking function can be
reprogrammed so that only the driver door
is unlocked. See Remote Control (page
23).
Locking and Unlocking
Confirmation
When you lock the doors, the direction
indicators will flash twice.
When you unlock the doors, the direction
indicators will flash once.
Note: If your vehicle has double locking, the
direction indicators will only flash twice
once you have double locked your vehicle.
