BASE AUDIO SYSTEM
Bluetooth
System

Before using a Bluetooth-enabled device in the vehicle, it must be paired with the
in-vehicle Bluetooth system. Not all devices will support all functions. The pairing
process is disabled when the vehicle is moving. For more information, visit
www.gmtotalconnect.com.
Pair a Phone
1. To use voice recognition, press the
say "Pair."
Or press the CONFIG button and then select Phone Settings > Bluetooth > Pair
Device.
2. Start the pairing process on the phone. Locate your vehicle name on the phone.
3. Enter the four-digit code that appears on the touch screen into the phone or confirm the
six-digit code on the phone.
Storing Phone Numbers as Name Tags
Up to 30 phone numbers can be stored as name tags in the Hands-Free Directory.

2. After the beep, say "Store," immediately followed by a phone number (e.g. "Store
123-555-1212"). Do not pause while speaking. The system prompts to assign a name
tag to the phone number.
Using Bluetooth to Make Calls
Push to Talk button.
1. Press the
2. After the beep, say "Call" or "Dial," immediately followed by a stored name tag or 10- or
7-digit phone number (e.g. "Call John at Work" or "Dial 123-555-1212"). Do not pause
while speaking. A name tag must have been previously stored.
Voice Pass-Thru
Voice Pass-Thru allows access to the voice recognition commands on the cell phone. This
can be used as an alternative to creating stored name tags.
1. Press the
Push to Talk button; after the beep, say "Voice."
2. The system responds "OK, accessing <phone name.>" The cell phone must have been
paired with the Bluetooth system.
3. Say a voice command (e.g. "Call John"). The cell phone's normal prompt messages will
be heard according to the phone's operating instructions.
