GLOSSARY
DOORSidE -
The right side of the motor home from the driver's point of
view. So named because the main entry/exit door is usually
on this side.
ECU (ELECTRONic CONTROL UNir) -
The electronic "brain" of the
transmission. It controls the transmission.
ENqiNE OVERSPEEdloVERREViNq -
Exceeding the specified RPM of the
engine.
ENqiNE bLock hEATER -
An electrical device attached to the motor home
engine that will help you start the engine in very cold
weather. It warms the oil in the crankcase allowing the engine
to turn over morc easily.
FIN (FlEETwood idENTificATioN NUMbER) -
This is the number that
identifies your motor home as a Fleetwood product. Use this
number when ordering parts or requesting warranty service
for your motor home.
FuEl STAbilizER -
A chemical additive that helps to keep the diesel fuel
in the tank fresh and volatile during long storage periods.
Also known as "anti-oxidant."
GAWR (GROSS AxLE WEiqhr RATiNq) -
The maximum allowable
weight a specific axle and brake system is designed to carry.
Each axle has its own GAWR. When you add the GAWRs,
they will not necessarily add up to the GVWR. The GAWR is
also shown on the Federal certification tag posted on the left
interior sidewall near the driver's station.
GCWR (GROSS COMbiNEd WEiqhT RATiNq) -
The maximum
allowable combined weight of the fully equipped and loaded
motor home (including passengers, all cargo, fluids, etc.) plus
the weight of any fully loaded towed load (such as a trailer,
boat, or automobile). The Gross Combined Weight Rating
(GCWRJ is listed on the wardrobe door tag. If the towed unit
is not equipped with brakes that are actuated with the
motor home brakes, this Illimber may be lower. The allow-
