message. This ring or vibration is called an alert.

alert settings
Your phone includes alerts for Ring Volume, In Call, Message
Tone, Alarms, Voicemail, Key Volume, Reminder, and Info Services. You
can specify a setting for each alert.
Note: You can't specify settings for alerts if Style is set
to Silent.
