HOW TO USE

Your best looks begin with a good haircut that is well maintained. You should always treat
your hair with the best quality shampoos, conditioners and styling products.
This hair curler is a powerful styling tool and must always be used with care. To avoid
damage to your hair do not use hair curler frequently. Always select a temperature setting
that is suitable for your hair type.
DO NOT plug your digital hair curler in until you are ready to use it.
Ensure that your hair is completely dry and tangle free before using your digital hair curler.
Using Your Digital Hair Curler
IMPORTANT: THIS PRODUCT REACHES SALON HIGH TEMPERATURES.
Do not leave on your hair for more than a few seconds as this may damage your hair.
1 Plug unit on the appropriate wall electric outlet. Always place your hair curler on a solid,
flat, stable, heat resistant surface. Do not place your hair curler on a soft or uneven
surface such as a carpet, bedding or rug, and never cover your hair curler.
2 To switch on, press the on/off
button until the default temperature indicator (130°C)
starts to flash.
3 The barrel will rapidly heat up.
4 When default temperature is reached, the display will stop flashing. The barrel stays at
this heat setting unless the temperature increase (+) button is pressed.
5 Select the most suitable heat setting (temperature range for both models
HCSTPRHC11-049/HCSTPRHC22-049: 130°C-210°C ) for your hair type using the
temperature increase (+) /decrease (-) buttons.
6 For model HCSTPRHC11-049, the selected temperature indicator will blink until the
barrel reaches the required temperature and then remain illuminated. If the highest
temperature "210°C" is selected, all 5 temperature indicators will illuminate. For model
HCSTPRHC22-049, the selected temperature will blink in 3 seconds and then illuminate
on the digital display to confirm selection. As with all products that reach salon high
temperatures, do not use your hair curler too frequently to avoid damaging your hair.
NOTE: HCSTPRHC22-049 includes a temperature lock feature. The selected temperature
will be locked in 3 seconds automatically if there is no further press on the increase/
decrease (+/-) buttons. To unlock, simply press the increase (+) and then the decrease (-)
buttons to select a new temperature again.
7 Style your hair as desired.
8 Switch the unit off by pressing the on/off
electrical outlet. Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.
Auto Shut-off Feature
The unit is fitted with a safety auto shut off feature. If the unit is not used, for example, no
controls are touched or reset for approximately 60 minutes; the unit will automatically switch
off. To restart the unit press and hold the on/off

button for 1-2 seconds. Unplug from wall
button and reselect a temperature.

STYLING GUIDE
Step 1: Start by dividing washed and completely dry hair into sections.
Step 2: Take a lock of hair, open the clip by pressing the lever and place the ends of the
hair between the barrel and the clip.
Step 3: Release the lever and grasp the safety tip.
Step 4: Wind the lock around the barrel towards the scalp without touching the scalp
with the hot barrel.
Step 5: Keep the hair curler in your hair for approximately 5-10 seconds.
Step 6: Unwind the lock of hair until the clip can be opened again. Gently open the barrel
and remove from the curl. Allow the curl to cool, try not to disturb the curls while
working on the rest of the head.
Step 7: Follow this process throughout the entire head. When done allow the curls to cool
and gently brush or comb hair into the desired style.
Hints and Tips
• Use the lowest heat setting, 130°C, for fine and short hair.
• Use the highest heat setting, 210°C, for thick and long hair.
• Once the hair is curled around the hair curler, hold in place for 5-10 seconds depending
on the texture and length of hair.
• For tighter curls use less hair when wrapping the hair around the barrel.
• For looser curls, select thicker sections of hair to wrap around the hair curler.
