Do not touch the oil tank until it has completely cooled down.

    Positioning the Fryer • Place the deep fat fryer on a firm, flat, heat-resistant work surface. • To avoid possible marking or damage to anything around the fryer, and to avoid possible fire hazards, keep the area above and around the fryer clear. •...

    Removing the Lid With the lid fully open, you will see the hinge between the metal and plastic guard. Grip the lid firmly on one side, hold down the fryer, and ease the lid off by pulling upwards gently but firmly. Slide the other side out and ease the lid off the spring catch.

    Cooking with the Fryer Before cooking with fryer, the tank must first be filled with the correct amount of oil and be preheated to the correct temperature. Only when this process is complete should you proceed to the COOKING stage. Fill the Tank with Oil 1.

    When Cooking has been Completed Return the basket to the fryer, and turn the thermostat dial to the “O” position (0°C). Switch off the fryer using the Power ON/OFF switch, then switch it off at mains socket and unplug the fryer. Pull out the mains cable and store the mains cable in the mains cable storage. Now leave the appliance to completely cool before cleaning.

    Cleaning the Fryer Cleaning should be carried out when the fryer and oil are fully cool and the fryer is unplugged from the mains socket. When cleaning, avoid using abrasive cleaning materials as these may damage the fryer’s surface. Remove the basket from the fryer. Remove the lid, and the filter from the grease trap. For guidance on removing and repositioning these items see the Preparation for Use section.
