If the Singer Stylist 513 quits feeding fabric, the issue may be due to broken or worn gears. You should check the feed mechanism and replace or upgrade the gears if necessary.

I haven't been using my Singer Singer 513 sewing machine for about 10 years. Before using it again, I think it would be useful to put oil in it. I **** trying to find where to put some in the manual without success. Can you help me by telling what do to. Thank you in advance for yor help.

To oil the Singer 513 sewing machine, you need to:

1. Remove the top cover, bottom inspection plate, and face plate to access all parts that need oiling.
2. Apply oil sparingly to the moving metal parts where metal touches metal.
3. Use a precise applicator, like one with a small tube, to control oil flow.
4. If oil spills or gets on non-moving parts, wipe it off with a rag or Q-tip.
5. Do not oil the gears—use grease instead.

Avoid using household lubricants; use sewing machine oil such as Singer oil or Tri-Flow.
