thoroughly recommends reading these instructions before using the
Inspection Lamp, even if you have used one before. Reading these instructions
carefully and understanding them fully will enable you to perform tasks correctly and
will prevent injury to yourself or someone else as well as prevent damage to the
vehicle and equipment. Please keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future
reference.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
Always keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working area.
Always run vehicle engines in a well ventilated area.
Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Wear gloves when working
with engine components.
Never use other chargers to charge this Inspection Lamp. Only use the one which is
supplied in the box.
Never use whenever flammable gasses are present such as when the vehicle battery is
being charged, petrol fumes, solvents, spray paints, etc.
Never look directly at the LEDs, shine directly at other person's or animal's eyes.
Never allow children to use the Inspection lamp.
Never move the Inspection Lamp whilst it is being charged.
Never use if any parts are missing or damaged.
Never modify the Inspection Lamp or the charger in any way.
Never clamp the Inspection Lamp onto electrical wiring or any components that move
or are hot.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
In the United Kingdom, the ELECTRICITY AT WORK ACT 1989 requires all portable electrical
appliances, if used on business premises, to be tested by a qualified electrician, using a
Portable Appliance Tester (PAT), at least once a year. The HEALTH & SAFETY AT WORK ACT
1974 makes owners of electrical appliances responsible for the safe condition of the
appliance and the safety of its operator. If in any doubt about electrical safety, contact a
qualified electrician.

UNPACKING
It is recommended that you save the packaging material for future transportation of the
Inspection Lamp in the event of service or repair.
Packaging materials especially bags, must be kept well away from babies and children.
CHARGING
The charger is for indoor use only.
Charge the battery for more than 8 hours before initial use.
Recharge fully once a month when not in use.
When a small red LED comes on in the centre of the lens, this means that the battery is
becoming discharged and that it needs charging.
The inspection lamp will not work whilst it is being charged.
1. Plug the charger into a mains socket.
2. Connect the lead from the charger to the charging point on the end of the rubber handle of
the Inspection Lamp and switch the mains power on.
3. A small LED in the centre of the lens will light up red to indicate that charging is taking
place.
4. When charging is complete, the LED will change from red to green. Switch the mains power
off, disconnect the charger from the Inspection Lamp and store the charger in a safe place.
N.B. If the red LED is still on after 3hrs, unplug and try charging again.
If the lamp would not be used for more than 3 months, please fully recharge
OPERATING
1. Mount the Inspection Lamp to a secure position using the clamp. Adjust the angle of the
Inspection Lamp by holding the main body and the clamp firmly in each hand and manoeuvre
until the desired position is achieved.
2. Press the red button on the top of the rubber grip handle once to switch on and again to
switch off. DO NOT look directly at the lense of the torch as the bright LEDs can cause
damage to your eyes.
