Operation modes of the RTS2
The Fantech RTS2 is compatible with Fantech SHR, VHR and SER series models.
This button activates the system on high speed ventilation mode for 20 minutes, it
then returns to the predetermined setting.
To cancel this operation, simply press the button a second time.

Wiring of the RTS2
Insert the stripped end of the wire into the terminal connection on the HRV or ERV marked T+ and T– or TIMER+ and TIMER –, near the power cord. Using a pen-type
screwdriver, tighten the screws. Run the wires to the RTS2. With the polarity respected, insert the stripped end of the wires into the electrical connections marked "+"
and " – " . Using a pen-type screwdriver, tighten the screws. Up to 5 timers can be installed in parallel.

None of my three 20 min timer buttons are working. Any idea why?
The Fantech RTS2 timer buttons may not be working due to the following reasons:
1. Incorrect Wiring – Ensure the wires are properly connected to the terminals marked T+ and T– or TIMER+ and TIMER– on the HRV/ERV unit, with the correct polarity. Loose or incorrect connections can prevent operation.
2. Power Issues – The RTS2 requires a voltage of 2V. Verify that the unit is receiving the correct power supply.
3. Faulty Installation – Check if the control mounting plate and cover are securely installed, as improper mounting may affect button functionality.
4. Exceeding Timer Limit – The RTS2 allows up to 5 timers to be installed in parallel. If more are connected, it may not function correctly.
5. Defective Unit – If wiring and installation are correct, but the button still does not work, the RTS2 may be defective and require replacement under its 2-year limited warranty.
To resolve the issue, inspect the wiring, power supply, and installation, and ensure the timer is not overloaded.
