  • Page 5 All types of radiators designated for open central heating systems can be used with the stove Samson 15 PW, which may be also used to support closed central heating systems adequately protected in compliance with local norms provided that open and closed central hating systems are separated by means of a heat exchanger.
  • Page 6 Fuel Our products are designed exclusively for burning wood such as: oak, hornbeam, ash, beech, etc. The most suitable wood should be seasoned as chopped logs for at least a year in a dry and well-aerated place. Wood from coniferous trees is not recommended because it ignites too rapidly. Furthermore, a high content of resin causes all seals to harden.
  • Page 7 Chimney system inspection Chimney system inspections should be documented in the form enclosed herein. Before commissioning for use, any modification or changes to the flue liner, the chimney system should be inspected by a qualified chimney inspector. Chimney duct inspection should be conducted by an authorised chimney sweep. For solid wood stoves, chimney systems should be cleaned 4 times a year.
  • Page 8 Ash removal Ashes should be regularly removed to prevent ash spills outside and the build-up of ash around the start-up air housing located inside the firebox. Ashes should be placed in a metal container with a tight fitting lid. Always leave a thin layer of ash in the bottom of the firebox for protection when the logs are on fire.
