Introduction
The enclosed DVD includes instructions for several different GPS Tracker models from our manufacturer. If you
choose to use the DVD, you will Jind instructions for your tracker, "EyeTrak", under Model # TK302A. Please also
note that tracker instructions are the same, whether you use the enclosed Booklet or the DVD. Hence you do not
need both: Use whichever you prefer, but start with this quick guide.
Getting Started Steps
1.
Obtain an active SIM card and phone number. Your mobile carrier can help you set it up.
2.
The SIM card needs to be inserted with the SIM (brass metal part) facing up, and the side with the notch gets
inserted Jirst. Make sure to insert it into the slot, not the space below the slot.
3.
Once you have a SIM, you will then want to set up a minutes plan. Some carriers offer both monthly plans and
minute plans. A minutes plan may be helpful since your device use may be more sporadically used than a cell
phone.
4.
Take EyeTrak outside for initial set up in order to obtain a clear signal. We recommend Text message (SMS)
setup as the simplest method.
5.
The device IMEI number is needed to set up a minutes plan with your chosen carrier. You can Jind this on the
back of the device. Write this down in a safe place or take a picture of it.
6.
Begin by choosing your own password for your tracker:
a.
Text "begin123456 from your cell phone; device responds with "begin ok"
b.
Change the password by texting "password123456", followed by a space, then the password you
want to choose. You should receive a "password OK" message, meaning your new password is
enabled. Note: New password length should be 6 numeric digits.
Other Useful Tips & Troubleshooting
Hang on to your charging cord, as it isn't universal. If you do misplace it though, we have extras – contact us.
EyeTrak lights: The Red indicator light means the device is charging (and will turn off once charging is
complete). The Green indicator light means the device is on; it will Jlash once every second after acquiring a
GSM (mobile communication) signal, and every 3 seconds with a GPRS (2G/3G) signal. The Blue indicator light
means the GPS signal is being received, and will Jlash once every second after acquiring the signal. Note:
Signals can take up to a minute to receive.
The device can only be programmed to store and call (outbound) 3 phone numbers. However, 5 mobile
phones can be authorized to track the device. See instruction manual (page 8) on how to authorize a device.
Tracking the device is most easily done through your cell phone(s). It is possible to track the device using a
computer; however this requires a more involved setup process, including a setup fee of $10 for 5 years of
service or $3 for 1 year of service. If you are interested in this service, please contact us: info@modfamily.com
or see the instruction manual, pg. 27
o
If you get the message, "Your IMEI has Expired", this is because you are trying to set up the device
using a computer for tracking, but haven't yet paid the required fees (noted above).
