    Y O U R C F T 2 2 0 0 I N C L U D E S : Your cable operator has installed the state-of-the-art CFT2200 set-top terminal in your home. The CFT2200 brings unsurpassed audio and video quality to your TV viewing. And, it is simple to set up and easy to operate.

    You might also want to look at the basic hookup diagrams on pages 6 through 8, or even record the exact connections of your CFT2200 on page 9. Then if you need to move your TV system, you can restore the connections with little interruption to service.

    To do your own hookup, you will need the correct cables: For most hookups, use coaxial cable equipped with F-type connectors. If you are using the audio or video outputs from the CFT2200, you will need cables equipped with RCA-type connectors.

    A V O R I T E H A N N E L S The CFT2200 lets you scan through your list of favorite channels. To add or remove channels in your list: 1 Select 3 FAVORITE CHANNELS from the Main Menu.

    O N T R O L If you want to control your children’s television viewing, you can use the parental control feature. Using a numeric password that you assign, you can prevent the CFT2200 from tuning to programming based on the channel number.

    S I N G A R E N T A L O N T R O L C R E A T I N G Y O U R Choose a four-digit password that is easy for you to remember. If you forget your password, call your cable operator for assistance.

The purchase password is not the same as the parental control password, although you can define each P A S S W O R D of them by using the same four digits.

    1 Tune to the channel on which the event will be broadcast. The channel number and the letter E is displayed on the front of your CFT2200. Your cable company will be showing either a preview of the event or a message explaining how to purchase it.

  • Page 28 T H E I M E R S The VCR timers enable you to program the CFT2200 to turn on and tune to a specific channel at a specific date and time. You can program up to eight events. To program a VCR timer: 1 Select 4 VCR TIMERS from the Main Menu.

    I M E R You can set the CFT2200 to turn itself and your TV off after a certain period of time. Your TV must be plugged into the AC outlet on the rear of the terminal, and the outlet must be set to switch on and off with the terminal.

    I M E R S You can set alarm timers to turn the CFT2200 and your TV on and off at prescribed times. Your TV must be plugged into the AC outlet on the rear of the terminal, and the outlet must be set to switch on and off with the terminal.

    I S P L A Y I N G I M E O U R E R M I N A L The front panel of the terminal normally displays the channel number you are tuned to. You can use the display to show time.

    U T L E T You can plug your TV into the AC outlet on the rear of the CFT2200. This enables you to turn your TV on and off with the terminal. The default setting for the outlet is switched (that is, turned on and off with the CFT2200).

    1 Select 7 CONTROL PANEL from the Main Menu. 2 Select 2 DISABLE REMOTE from the Control Panel menu. The letters rLO (remote lockout) display on the front panel. To reactivate the remote control, press any button on the CFT2200 front panel.
