    O N T R O L If you want to control your children’s television viewing, you can use the parental control feature. Using a numeric password that you assign, you can prevent the CFT2200 from tuning to programming based on the channel number.

The purchase password is not the same as the parental control password, although you can define each P A S S W O R D of them by using the same four digits.

    1 Tune to the channel on which the event will be broadcast. The channel number and the letter E is displayed on the front of your CFT2200. Your cable company will be showing either a preview of the event or a message explaining how to purchase it.

  • Page 28 T H E I M E R S The VCR timers enable you to program the CFT2200 to turn on and tune to a specific channel at a specific date and time. You can program up to eight events. To program a VCR timer: 1 Select 4 VCR TIMERS from the Main Menu.

    I M E R You can set the CFT2200 to turn itself and your TV off after a certain period of time. Your TV must be plugged into the AC outlet on the rear of the terminal, and the outlet must be set to switch on and off with the terminal.
