Possible issues with the BestGuarder SG-990V not recording and showing empty files could include:
1. No SD Card or Low Memory – The manual states that if there is no SD card or the memory is low, the red and blue lights will blink. Ensure an SD card is properly inserted and has sufficient storage.
2. Incorrect SD Card Format – The camera may require a specific format for the SD card. Try formatting the SD card using the camera’s settings.
3. Power Issues – If the camera is not receiving sufficient power, it may not function correctly. Ensure the batteries or external power source are working.
4. Test Mode Instead of Recording Mode – If the camera is in "TEST" mode, it may not record properly. Switch it to the correct operating mode.
5. Firmware Issues – If the firmware is outdated or corrupted, recording issues may occur. Check the system settings and update the firmware if needed.
6. Improper Camera Setup – Ensure all parameters are correctly set in the menu and that motion detection is enabled.
7. Infrared LED Issues – The camera may not capture images in the dark if there is a problem with the IR LEDs. Check if the LEDs are functioning.
If the problem persists, resetting the camera to default settings or checking for hardware malfunctions may help.
