It is much heavier than other equipment of the same size. Lift the player with great care, or search for assistance when trying to remove it from the packaging. A vibration free platform will help extracting its optimal sonic performance. Make sure the main power switch is in the OFF position (O) before connecting the power cable. To get the best sound quality, make sure that all your Hi‐Fi equipments are connected into one mains socket. Origo to your Windows computer. After finishing the driver installation, connect the Origo to your computer. Select Synaestec USB audio 2.0 as the default playback device through your music player software. Mac OS environment There is no need to install any drivers. The Origo's USB streaming interface is plug and play under Mac OS environment. Simply connect the USB interface and then select Synaestec USB Audio 2.0 in the Sound menu. ... -

After turning on the player, you can open the disc tray and insert your CD or SACD using the STOP/EJECT button. When you have finished listening, press the Power button on the remote control or press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE knob on the front panel to turn the Origo back into ready mode. If you plan to leave the Origo unused for a long period of time, use the main power switch on the rear panel to switch it off completely. There is an Oven‐Controlled‐Crystal‐Oscillator (OCXO) inside the Origo to generate the perfectly accurate audio reference clock. This OCXO needs 5 minutes to warm up in the initial power up. Input Select The Origo accepts different types of external digital audio inputs up to 24bit‐192KHz besides playing CD or SACD. Activates the USB audio streaming input. Coaxial Activates the SPDIF coaxial digital audio input. AES/EBU Activates the AES/EBU balanced digital audio input. DISC Disables all external digital audio inputs and switch to play CD or SACD. Safety and Protection DC protection The Origo protects the loudspeaker from DC leakage. In case of the present of DC leakage, the audio output will be cut off automatically. Short circuit protection The Origo is designed to withstand momentary short circuit. However, do not short circuit the audio output intentionally. Maintenance Cleaning Clean the surface with soft dry cloth only. Do not use any solvent or cleaning agent. Remote Control Battery replacement Unscrew the bottom plate of the remote control unit. Replace old batteries with AAA size dry cell alkaline batteries (LR03). Reclose the bottom cover after battery replacement. Always replace both batteries at the same time.
