I want to leave loop one open for a future wah pedal. Do I have to bridge the S & R jacks with a patch cord cable for the rest of the pedal loops to work . How about if I want to add two pedals to jacks 7,8.&9 can I put a pedal on 7& 9 with nothing on loop 8 ? I would be connecting all pedals to the front of the amp.

To set up the Moen GEC9 pedal switcher with loop one open and connect pedals to jacks 7, 8, and 9:

1. Leave LOOP1 empty (no pedal connected).
2. Connect your pedals to the SEND and RETURN jacks of LOOP7, LOOP8, and LOOP9.
- Connect the output of the pedal for LOOP7 to the SEND jack of LOOP7 and its input to the RETURN jack of LOOP7.
- Repeat similarly for LOOP8 and LOOP9.
3. If no cables are connected to LOOP8, S9's ring automatically connects to S8's tip, allowing S9 to work as a TRS footswitch if needed.
4. Ensure the pedals are powered and the GEC9 is supplied with DC9V (negative center) power.

This setup allows you to engage pedals connected to loops 7, 8, and 9 while keeping loop one open.

  • Page 2: Overview

1- Overview Top Panel Rear Panel (1) PRESETS These switches instantly recall the settings stored in the corresponding PRESET 1-5 when pressed, press the active PRESET switch again will bypass whole loops. All presets are stored in nonvolatile memory, will not be erased even without power supply. (2) MUTE/CLEAN This switch instantly shuts off the LOOP OUT (LOUT1&LOUT2) and switches the INPUT to CLEAN jack, press it again will get back to normal operation.
  • Page 3 (7) BUF IN (Buffered Input) Signal input via this jack is fed to a buffer circuit prior to being sent to the loops. (8) DC Jack 5.5 x 2.1 mm type, use negative center DC 9V / 500mA power supply. (9) NBUF IN (Non Buffered input) This jack bypasses the buffer circuit and directly sends singal to the loops.
  • Page 4: Signal Path

OUT8 LOOP9 OUT9 Guitar signal feeds into GEC9 input (NBUF IN or BUF IN), enters series LOOP1~LOOP6 when MUTE switch is off, then outputs from LOUT1 and LOUT2. If MUTE is on, the signal outputs directly to CLEAN jack. The BUF OUT jack always outputs buffered input signal.
