CAUTION:
Before you open the computer cover, turn off the computer and wait several minutes until the
computer is cool.
To replace the ac power adapter, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer. See "Locating connectors, controls, and indicators on the front of your computer" on page 1
and "Locating connectors on the rear of your computer" on page 2.
2. Remove the power adapter cable from the ac power adapter cable loop at the rear of the computer and
then disconnect the ac power adapter from the computer.

3. Connect a new ac power adapter to the ac power adapter connector at the rear of your computer and a
workable electrical outlet. Then, secure the power adapter cable into the power adapter cable loop at
the rear of the computer as shown.
