This device does not supports USB Flash drives smaller than 512MB in capacity. This device does not support file system with Allocation Unit Size smaller than 4096 bytes.

    USB Connection If a USB external storage is removed without Safely Remove processes, the “SURPRISE REMOVE” message will be shown on the screen.     TV Connection TV Connection Connecting to AV Equipments HDMI Connection The HDMI connector can output both digital audio/video signals. Many HDTV sets and digital AV receivers support this type of connection. (HDMI cable not provided) To a TV: To an AV receiver: If the HDMI cable is disconnected in playback, this device will stop playback immediately.

    TV Connection Thumbnail View To switch to the Thumbnail View, press the MENU button on the remote control. Thumbnail View is ideal of browsing photos. Folder name Item number/ Total items Selected item Items displayed as large icons. JPEG files are shown as thumbnails.

    Playing Back Media Files Playing Back Media Files About Media Files File Format Icon Description Folder Play A folder The parental folder This device introduces a convenient feature named “Folder Play”. You can play all media files contained in one folder by simply pressing the button on that folder icon.

  • Page 23 Playing Back Media Files This device can play both MP3 and WAV music files. To play these music files, select a file or a folder that contains these files, and then press the button. While the music is playing, the playback seek slider will be displayed on the screen. The title, performer, and the album information from the ID3 tag of an MP3 file will be displayed on the screen also.

    Playing Back Media Files Using the Remote Control The icons on top of table indicate the media files associated with each function. While playing back, you can enable the following operations: DVD Folder Plays the complete DVD movie with DVD menu. DVD Menu Press MENU button will open the DVD Main Menu.

    Playing Back Media Files Slow Motion Plays a file at a slower speed (the speed is adjustable). Slow motion Press SLOW button to adjust speed. Resume Press button to restore normal speed. : Adjust speed in sequence: [1/2X 1/4X 1/8X Normal].

Ending Point While playing to the desired end point, press A-B button. It will start the repeated playback immediately. Normal Play Press A-B button again to cancel this repeat operation.

    Setup Menu This function only works if you have selected “SPDIF/PCM”. LPCM stands for Linear Pulse Code Modulation, which is a common method for encoding audio signal in CD and DVD. Higher sampling rate means audio output with more detail to meet Hi-end audiophile equipment requirements.
