12-2. How to proceed when the cassette cannot be removed
The cassette cannot be removerd.

Find the cause of trouble and repair it. (Try
turning the loading motor by hand, etc.)

I Connect the mode selector and keeD theI
left side ( * ) of its mode selecto~ key

Remove the mechanism main unit as
Stop when the roller guide gets into the
eXDlained in the Daae 7 – 8.

Turn the capstan motor by hand from the
bottom side to remove tape slack.

Keep the left side (*) of the mode selector
key pressed to prefrom front unloading.

In the eject completed mode, remove the
cassette.

Confirm the position of each gear, cam,
mode detection switch etc in the initial

Before unloading
Perform unloading using the mode selector.
Remove the holder bracket and the front
helical gear as explained in the page 28.
(Do this with the COMPL cassette

BRACKET still attached to the mechanism

Remove the COMOL MOTOR BRACKET
as explained in the page 27. (Be sure not to
remove the COMPL cassette mechanism. If
removed in this condition, the tape would
be damaged.)

Turn the main cam clockwise with your

hand from the bottom side. Stop when the
roller guide gets into the cassette lower
part.

Turn the capstan motor by hand from the
bottom side to remove tape slack.

Push the COMPL cassette mechanism rack

in the front unloadinq direction.

After unloading
First rotate the capstan motor by hand from the
bottom to take- up the tape slack, and perform
front- unloading using the mode selector.
