Please unplug all devices from the power outlet before making or changing connections. This chart shows the basic connections necessary for using your DVD recorder with a TV. Other types of connections are shown on the following pages. Connect one end of the S-Video cable to the S-Video out connection on the back of the DVD recorder, and connect the other end to the S-Video in jack on your TV. Component Video Connect the component cable (green, blue, and red connectors) to the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT on the rear panel of the DVD recorder and the corresponding component video in connections on your television. -

OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT on the DVD recorder and OPTICAL DIGITAL IN on the AV Amplifier or TV. For a coaxial connection, connect a coaxial digital audio cable to COAXIAL DIGITAL OUT on the DVD recorder and COAXIAL DIGITAL IN on the AV Amplifier or TV. DVD player to the AUDIO/VIDEO INPUT of the DVD recorder. Do not connect your DVD recorder to a VCR and then connect the VCR to the TV. This will produce a very poor signal for your DVD recordings. Your DVD recorder should be connected directly to the TV for best results. -

You may not be able to record to a DVD+RW disc that already contains recordings from another DVD recorder or PC. If you are able to add a new recording to a disc from another DVD recorder, your recorder will rewrite the DVD menu. If the disc contains data from a personal computer, this data will be erased by your DVD recorder. -
